Luis Campusano Seeing Game Action Again
1 year agoSan Diego Padres backstop Luis Campusano (thumb) appeared as the designated hitter on Tuesday in the Arizona Complex league, going 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles. There's a chance that the former second-rounder can return around the All-Star break after undergoing surgery to repair a left thumb sprain he suffered in April. Across just seven games this season, Campusano hit .238 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The Padres could use his bat behind the plate, as both Austin Nola and Gary Sanchez have their limits at the dish. However, the 24-year-old remains a better dynasty option until he proves he can hit big-league pitching.
