Luis Arraez Triples, Scores A Pair Of Runs
3 years agoMinnesota Twins infielder/outfielder Luis Arraez went 1-for-4 with a triple, a walk, and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Texas Rangers. Arraez walked in the first and scored on a Nelson Cruz single, then came up with a big, go-ahead RBI triple in the 10th inning. Arraez is batting just .273 overall, largely due to a .301 BABIP- career average .341. His line-drive rate has remained about steady with his usual marks, and while his contact rate has declined slightly, it's not enough to warrant such a drop in his batting average. Arraez should be expected to look more like the hitter who batted above .320 in each of his first two seasons moving forward.
