Luis Arraez Leaves Early With Stomach Cramp
1 year agoMiami Marlins second baseman Luis Arraez (stomach) left Monday night's 6-2 loss to the Miami Marlins early due to a stomach cramp, according to the team. Before departing, Arraez went 1-for-2 at the plate before being replaced at the keystone by Jon Berti. Losing Major League Baseball's leading hitter for any stretch of time would be devastating for the Marlins as they look to secure a postseason berth down the stretch, but this will most likely be a day-to-day thing. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Tuesday to see if he's back in the starting lineup. The 26-year-old came into Monday's action leading all of baseball with a .357 batting average and a league-leading 166 hits in 505 plate appearances in his first year in Miami. Arraez has also added a career-high 58 RBI and 52 runs scored.
