Luis Arraez Could Bat Leadoff At Times
4 years agoMinnesota Twins infielder/outfielder Luis Arraez could bat leadoff at times in 2021. Outfielder Max Kepler has been the primary leadoff hitter for Minnesota over the last two seasons, though Arraez has assumed that role when both have been in the lineup this spring. Manager Rocco Baldelli said that both could hit in that spot in 2021, especially against right-handers. That's excellent news for Arraez, who has had a strong spring, batting .300 in 11 games, including two hits, a walk, and a run scored on Sunday. Arraez's career average, .331, exceptional plate discipline profile, 9.0 percent walk rate against 8.2 percent strikeout rate in his career, and potential for run-scoring as the leadoff hitter make him a strong pick at his 211 ADP.
