15 seconds agoSan Diego Padres designated hitter Luis Arraez (undisclosed) exited his team's outing against the Houston Astros in the first inning on Sunday. Arraez was involved in a scary collision at first base after attempting to bunt teammate Fernando Tatis Jr. to second base. The 28-year-old hustled down the line to beat out the throw and collided with Astros' second baseman Mauricio Dubon, who was covering on the play. It appeared that Arraez crashed into Dubon's shoulder and immediately crumpled to the ground. Eventually, his head and neck were stabilized, and he was carted off. Reportedly, the All-Star DH was transported to Houston Methodist Hospital, and his condition is stable. He is responsive and has control of his extremities.
