1 year agoDetroit Red Wings winger Lucas Raymond scored twice with three shots in Sunday's 6-3 defeat against Pittsburgh. Entering the contest with a three-game goal streak, Raymond extended the run with a strike at the 15:39 mark in the first period and added a second goal late in the game. The latter was Raymond's third power-play goal in four games. Raymond has enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign with 57 points (22 goals, 35 assists) in 68 outings. He has matched his career high with the four-game goal-scoring streak and can set a new mark in a very favorable matchup, as Detroit is set to meet the Blue Jackets and their leaky defense on Tuesday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 months agoDetroit Red Wings right wing Lucas Raymond tallied two assists in his overtime loss to Team Canada on Wednesday evening. In the second frame, Raymond tallied his first assist, which was the secondary helper on Jonas Brodin's goal. Later in the third period, Raymond would add his second secondary assist to set up Minnesota's Joel Eriksson Ek on the game-tying goal. He was also named the third star of the contest and logged three total shots on goal. Despite playing on Team Sweden's third line, Raymond was very productive in this contest. Fantasy managers in DFS formats should consider putting Raymond in their lineup on Saturday when they face Team Finland. Before the tournament, the 22-year-old had tallied 17 points over his previous 15 games with Detroit.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 months agoDetroit Red Wings right wing Lucas Raymond tallied four points during their victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday evening. In the opening frame, Raymond found the back of the net on a backhand shot. Raymond tallied his second point in the second frame, a helper on Alex DeBrincat's power-play tally. In the third, Raymond would add two more helpers. Since the start of the month (13 games), Raymond has tallied 18 points (five goals, 13 helpers,) with eight of them coming on the power-play. Overall, the former No.4 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft has tallied 56 points through 50 contests. Fantasy managers should continue to view him as a must-start option, as he is on pace to set a career-high in points. He will look to stay hot on Thursday evening against the Edmonton Oilers.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

4 months agoDetroit Red Wings winger Lucas Raymond extended his point streak to a career-best seven games in Sunday's 5-4 overtime defeat against Vancouver. He finished the contest with two helpers, dishing out one assist on the power play. The Swedish forward was also desperate to extend a five-game goal streak and produced a game-high six shots. Raymond has recorded five goals and four assists during his hot spell. 6 months agoDetroit Red Wings winger Lucas Raymond has agreed to a long-term extension with the team, signing up for eight more years on a contract worth $64.6 million. The salary cap hit on Raymond's contract will stand at $8.075 million. The 22-year-old was a restricted free agent after coming off a three-year entry-level deal. Raymond bounced back from a down year in 2023-24, scoring a team-high 72 points (31 goals, 41 assists) in 82 outings. Through 238 career games, the Swedish winger boasts 174 points (71 goals, 103 assists). After being selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2020 draft, Raymond has developed into one of the Red Wings' best players, but he should still have plenty more room to grow.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
