11 months agoFrom a statistical perspective, Lucas Glover couldn't be more ready for a strong week at Colonial. Aside from dodgy putting, he checks all the boxes for what works around this track: accurate tee balls (sixth in driving accuracy: 74.92%), solid approach play from shorter distances (10th in approaches outside of 100 yards), and a great short game (11th in strokes gained around the green: 0.419). As most golfers know, putting can come and go like a breeze, but even as bad as it's been in spurts this season, Glover has been one of the more consistent cut-makers on the planet. Consider him as safe of a pick as any in the $9k range on FanDuel.--Todd McGill - RotoBaller

1 month agoLucas Glover finished tied for third at last week's The PLAYERS Championship and is now focusing on preparing for this week's Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Inn. He has had a good track record at the Valspar Championship, finishing 11th in 2024 and tied for 36th in 2023. Over the past 12 months, Glover ranks in the 57th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is important because, at last year's Valspar Championship, 37% of approach shots came from this distance. Glover could be a solid choice for DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

2 months agoLucas Glover has to wonder when time steps in. The American golfer, at 45, still produces some results that make bettors and DFS players swoon. However, he has missed two cuts in five appearances this season. Glover thrived at Pebble Beach with all four rounds under 70 (T-3rd). He went nearly ten years between wins but this version of Glover picks spots better. He has been very accurate with his driver in 2025 at 72.25% (ranks 4th on tour). It is partially why Glover is around +5500 currently. One slight concern is that Glover has only played the Cognizant once since COVID (T-35 in 2024). With Glover, the early holes will be telling. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

2 months agoLucas Glover bounced back from a missed cut at the American Express with a T3 finish at Pebble Beach last week. He now looks ahead to the WM Phoenix Open, where he has competed 15 times, making the cut in 12 of those appearances but only cracking the top 20 twice. This course rewards strong driving, an area where Glover plays with precision, ranking 25th in total driving and eighth in driving accuracy. He also ranks 18th in strokes gained on approach and is in the 95th percentile for proximity to the hole from 150-200 yards, a distance that accounts for 42.6% of all approach shots at TPC Scottsdale. Given his solid track record and recent momentum, Glover is worth considering at his $7,400 price tag on DraftKings.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller

5 months agoLucas Glover has been in top form so far in the Fall Swing. The 45-year-old Tour veteran has yet to finish outside of the top-25 in his four starts this season, impressively racking up finishes of T13, T3, T3 and T24 most recently at last week's WWT Championship. The current OWGR No. 48 should be in line for another strong finish at Port Royal, as he ranks sixth in overall approach, fifth in opportunities gained, 13th in birdie-or-better percentage, and ninth in strokes gained on easy courses over the last 36 rounds. He's also posted three consecutive top-25 finishes at this course. Although an inconsistent putter, he is prone to spike weeks, as evidenced by gaining 3.7 and 4.7 strokes on the greens in his first two Fall Swing starts. Fantasy managers should be excited by the upside of Glover at this week's Butterfield Bermuda Championship.--Ryan Hickey
