Lucas Giolito Struggles In Loss
3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito struggled in Wednesday's loss versus the Kansas City Royals. Giolito has been having a strong second half of the season, but couldn't get it together on Wednesday. The right-hander had his second shortest outing of the season with four innings and allowed eight hits, six runs, zero walks and struck out two on the evening. Giolito allowed three homers in the contest and that would contribute to four of his runs given up. Despite the disappointing performance on Wednesday, managers should continue to have confidence with Giolito moving forward. He is now 8-8 with a 3.98 ERA and will look to bounce back versus the Minnesota Twins in a favorable matchup on Monday.
