Lucas Giolito Holds Giants To One Run Over Six Frames
2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito came through with a solid outing against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. He pitched six innings and allowed three hits, two walks and one earned run while striking out seven. He earned the win to improve to 5-4 on the year. After going through a rough stretch that spanned five starts from late May to late June, Giolito has now posted two straight quality starts. He still has some ugly season-long numbers (4.90 ERA, 1.47 WHIP), but he's trending in the right direction. The 27-year-old will make his next start on Friday against the Detroit Tigers.
