3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito was sent to the COVID-19 injured list on Friday. Luckily for Giolito, it appears as if his time on the COVID-19 injured list will be short. White Sox manager Tony La Russa spoke to reporters on Monday and stated that there is hope that Giolito will return soon and that he will start either Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader or Wednesday's game. La Russa also said that he didn't want to go with a bullpen game in Game 2 Tuesday. Dylan Cease is slated to start Game 1 on Tuesday and Vince Velasquez is projected as Wednesday's starter. If Giolito isn't ready on Tuesday, Velasquez will likely be bumped up a day.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
