Lucas Duda Out On Wednesday
6 years agoWith the Kansas City Royals playing a set at a National League park, first baseman Lucas Duda is getting the day off on Wednesday while rookie Hunter Dozier takes his spot. Duda has played in four straight games since his return from the disabled list last week, but he's only actually played the field in one of those games. With the team buried in the standings, they're trying to get some extra at-bats for their young players like Dozier and Adalberto Mondesi, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Duda get a few extra days off. It also wouldn't be surprising if Duda isn't playing in KC at all after the end of July, as the team would likely be looking to trade him.
