5 months agoLucas Almeida scored a decision win over Timmy Cuamba on the main card of UFC Vegas 93 on Saturday. Almeida entered the bout on a two-fight losing streak and was the underdog. However, the Brazilian started strong as he dropped Cuamba in the opening round and outstruck him 30-to-13 in the first round. Almeida ended up continuing his success in the second round, outstriking Cuamba 36-to-22. Although the Brazilian lost the third round, he did enough in the first two rounds to get the decision win and snap his two-fight losing skid. With the loss, Almeida is now 2-2 in the UFC and likely kept his job.--Cole Shelton
