2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is absent from the lineup for Saturday's contest against the San Francisco Giants. The 29-year-old has been solid with the bat, batting .310 with five dingers, 23 runs, and 20 RBI over 35 games. Alek Thomas will play in the outfield instead, batting eighth. He's been cold at the dish, running a .198 average with two homers, three steals, and a .589 OPS. Thomas has been much better against right-handers, though, as he's slashing .274/.333/.466, so he may be a productive streaming option for Saturday with right-hander Anthony DeSclafani on the hill.--Spencer Seguin
