Louis Oosthuizen Relying On Putting At TPC Scottsdale
4 years agoLouis Oosthuizen has just one career start at Waste Management, finishing third in 2017. Oosthuizen will not pick up many strokes off the tee this week, ranking 88th in driving distance and 103rd in driving accuracy. His irons have been poor, ranking 200th in proximity to the hole. However, he has proved he can score well when the putter is rolling. He currently ranks fifth in strokes gained putting. Oosthuizen may not be one of the most popular names this week, but he could be poised for a repeat of his 2017 performance at TPC Scottsdale if he can get the putter rolling early.

Louis Oosthuizen A Horse For The Course
3 years agoLouis Oosthuizen has played two Open Championships at St Andrews, winning the first in 2010 and finishing as the runner-up in 2015. If there were ever a time to play someone on course history alone, it would be Oosthiuzen this week. His recent form is unimpressive for the former Open Championship winner, he has played average on the LIV Golf Tour and had a decent finish in his lone DP World Tour start since joining LIV. That said, he did have great results in major championships last season, and given his history at St Andrews, he may be worth a play.

Louis Oosthuizen Looking To Contend Again At PGA
3 years agoLouis Oosthuizen was not in the official field earlier in the month but will tee it up on Thursday from Southern Hills. Oosthuizen finished just two strokes off the lead in last year's PGA Championship. The South African is the 15th ranked golfer in the world but has not played a lot on the tour this year due to a variety of issues and maladies. It had been a trying year for Oosthuizen then he withdrew in April from The Masters after carding a 76 in Round 1. It will be interesting to see where his game is at this point.

Louis Oosthuizen Looks To Continue Major Success
3 years agoLouis Oosthuizen finished inside the top five in three out of four major championships last season. The South African heads to Augusta this week looking to add to that success. Unfortunately, the recent form has not been good. The 39-year-old has lost his irons recently, losing strokes on approach in three straight events and failing to finish better than T30 in any of those three starts. Players who head to Augusta off their game rarely turn it around to have success here. The task does not get any easier for Oosthuizen, as he is paired with Tiger Woods for Rounds 1 and 2.

Louis Oosthuizen Has Struggled At Honda Classic
3 years agoMaking only his fifth start on the PGA Tour this season, Louis Oosthuizen will tee it up at the Honda Classic this week. In his career, Oosthuizen has not had a lot of success at PGA National. Oosthuizen finished inside the top-25 in both 2017 and 2018, but those were the only times Oosthuizen finished the event in six career starts. Oosthuizen is known for having a fantastic putter, but that hasn't showed up yet in 2022. Oosthuizen is currently losing -.174 strokes on the greens this season, 150th on tour in that stat. That will be a concern at a place known for the need to make putts. At his very high DFS price, Oosthuizen might be one to wait and watch this week, leaving him out of your lineup.
