Todd Gurley And Jared Goff Could Start Slow
6 years agoIf you're hoping for Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley and quarterback Jared Goff to carry your fantasy team at the start of the season, you might have to have a backup plan. Head coach Sean McVay hinted that neither of the two may play in the preseason. Presumably, this is to prevent them from sustaining any unnecessary hits or injuries. While this is certainly a smart choice, as evidenced by the various key players across the league set to miss time from preseason injuries, there will be some rust when the season starts. Players like Le'Veon Bell have shown that not playing in the preseason could bring rust at the start of the year. While the two will still be good or great as the season progresses, they could be in for slow starts, depending on how much the rust affects them.
