Lorenzo Cain Opts Out Of 2020 Season
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Lorenzo Cain has opted out of the 2020 season due to concerns related to COVID-19. This is a crushing blow to the Brewers and fantasy owners who were looking for a bounceback from Cain after a subpar 2019 season. Cain was off to a solid start in 2020, batting .333 in 18 at-bats with a .429 on-base percentage and two RBI. Outfielder Ben Gamel is likely to see regular playing time with Cain now sitting out the remainder of the 2020 season. Owners in redraft leagues can go ahead and cut Cain at this point.
