Lonzo Ball May Be Shut Down
2 years agoChicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball (knee) continues to experience complications resulting from a meniscus tear suffered in January 2022. Although the former UCLA Bruin has been rehabbing ever since, he hasn't been running or cutting. As a result, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported that the expectation coming out of the All-Star break is that Ball will be shut down for the remainder of the season. The 25-year-old had played well in his 35 games with the Bulls before going down, averaging 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals. He also shot a career-high 42.3% from deep. With that said, things could still change, so fantasy managers should keep Ball on the roster until the team releases an official update. But since a return don't look promising, Ayo Dosunmu is expected remain in the starting lineup. However, Dosunmu has averaged only 9.9 points in 49 starts in 2022-23, so he has a way to go before being classified as a reliable fantasy option.
