Logan Webb Pitches Scoreless Inning Out Of Bullpen Wednesday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants pitcher Logan Webb pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning with a strikeout in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Reds. The 24-year-old has spent his career with the Giants as a starter and has made two starts this season, but had a 5.23 ERA to show at the end of them. Per manager Gabe Kapler, the plan was to activate Alex Wood (back) from the injured list on Sunday and shift Webb to the bullpen. However, Johnny Cueto (lat) exited Wednesday's start with an apparent lat injury, so Webb may stick around in the rotation a bit longer. He had a great spring but has yet to find success as a starter, so fantasy managers should be wary of him at this time.
