Logan Webb Beat Up In Colorado
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants starter Logan Webb was roughed up in his start against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday. Lasting less than four full innings, Webb gave up six earned runs on three hits and three walks in Colorado. Fantasy managers are always looking for the bright side in blowup starts, and Webb gave them that as he was able to retire 45% of the hitters he faced via the strikeout (five total). Already sent to the bullpen once this year, the Giants may demote the former fourth-round pick once again. The next time the No. 5 starter is scheduled to pitch for the Giants is May 11 against the Rangers, but with off-days both tomorrow and on May 12, we may end up seeing a bullpen game against Texas with Webb the odd man out. Having allowed three or more runs in five of six starts, Webb simply is not a viable fantasy option.
