Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson (upper body) will not be available for Friday's contest against the Chicago Blackhawks and is expected to miss some time. Thompson is "definitely going to miss a couple games," according to Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery. Washington has received rock-solid goaltending from Thompson throughout the campaign, as he has gone 31-6-6 with a 2.49 goals-against average. The 28-year-old boasts three separate six-game winning streaks for the season and has recorded two shutouts with a .910 save percentage. With Thompson recovering, Charlie Lindgren will see more action, and Hunter Shepard has been recalled from the minors to serve as his backup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
