Logan O'Hoppe Leaves Early On Monday With Knee Soreness
4 months agoLos Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe (knee) was pulled from Monday's series opener against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays with right-knee soreness. Before leaving the eventual 4-2 loss, O'Hoppe was hitless in his two at-bats with one strikeout. He was replaced behind the dish by Matt Thaiss, who would become the Halos' regular catcher if O'Hoppe's knee injury is serious enough to cause him to miss significant time. For now, fantasy managers should consider him to be day-to-day and check back on Tuesday to see if he's feeling good enough to rejoin the starting lineup for Game 2 of the series against Toronto. O'Hoppe is fantasy relevant in all leagues and has been one of the team's few bright spots in a dismal 2024 season, as he was hitting .260/.320/.435 with a career-high 16 home runs and 46 RBI in 101 games entering Monday's contest in his second full big-league season. UPDATE: O'Hoppe should play on Tuesday, according to manager Ron Washington. The Angels removed O'Hoppe as a precaution.
