4 months agoUtah Hockey Club center Logan Cooley finished Sunday's 3-2 loss to Toronto with a goal and assist. He opened the scoring in the contest with a power-play tally and snagged an assist when Jack McBain found the back of the net in the third period. This was Cooley's second consecutive multi-point effort following a two-assist performance in Saturday's 6-1 victory against his hometown Penguins. The 20-year-old battles consistency issues but has done well overall during his sophomore campaign. Cooley is Utah's third-highest scorer with 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 21 games. He leads the pack with 13 even-strength points.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoUtah Hockey Club center Logan Cooley (lower body) has been labeled as a game-time call for Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. The talented youngster has missed seven games due to a lower-body injury. However, he appears poised to return to action against Chicago, as Utah has activated Cooley from Injured Reserve. Cooley is among Utah's highest-scoring players, having tallied 15 goals and 43 points in 50 games. He is likely to reclaim a top-six spot upon his return and should see plenty of power-play time. Cooley has accumulated 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) with the man advantage this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 months agoAccording to the team, Utah Hockey Club center Logan Cooley (lower body) will be sidelined indefinitely. The center sustained this injury during their overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday evening. The team noted that the 20-year-old will be evaluated after the 4-Nations Face-Off break. The 20-year-old was on pace to smash his rookie production as he tallied 15 goals and 28 helpers across 50 games. Last season, Cooley tallied just 44 points in 82 games in his debut season. Utah is also without forward Dylan Guenther (lower body). As a result, fantasy managers should expect Barrett Hayton and Jack McBain to operate as the top centers in the offense for the foreseeable future.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

1 year agoArizona Coyotes center Logan Cooley hit a hat trick as the team cooled off Nashville with an 8-4 victory on Thursday. The Predators visited the desert with a 16-0-2 run and grabbed a 2-0 lead in the game, but the Coyotes battled back with Cooley in a leading role. He tied the score at two and had the team's fourth goal before completing his hat trick with an empty-netter. Cooley became the sixth rookie in franchise history to register a hat trick. The 19-year-old has started to find some form again in March after finishing last month with only three points. He's tallied five goals and two assists across the last seven games. Cooley is battling for a top-three finish in the rookie scoring charts, with 16 goals and 37 points on his account through 73 appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 year agoArizona Coyotes center Logan Cooley had a very productive regular-season debut in the NHL on Friday, delivering two power-play assists in a 4-3 shootout victory against New Jersey. The 19-year-old became the second-youngest player in franchise history to log multiple points in his debut. Cooley's line also included two shots, one block, two penalty minutes, and one hit. He had over five minutes of power-play time and logged 19:02 of total ice time. This was a great start to the season from the young Coyotes centerman, who is seen as one of the biggest challengers to No. 1 pick Connor Bedard in the battle for the Calder Trophy. The two are set to go head to head soon, with the Blackhawks visiting the Mullett Arena on Oct. 30.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
