2 years agoCleveland Guardians left-hander Logan Allen made an impression in his first MLB start on Sunday. Allen allowed one run on five hits over six innings while striking out eight and walking one in a 7-4 win over the Miami Marlins. He earned the win while becoming one of just six Cleveland pitchers to record at least eight strikeouts in his first MLB start. Allen is ranked as Cleveland's No. 8 prospect and posted a 34.5% strikeout rate in Triple-A Columbus this season. He continued to miss bats in the big leagues, notching an impressive 17 swinging strikes in his debut. Allen is set to make his second start on Tuesday, May 2 against the New York Yankees.
