Logan Allen Expected To Make MLB Debut Sunday
2 years agoWeather permitting, the plan is for Cleveland Guardians left-hander Logan Allen to be called up from the minor leagues in order to start on Sunday at home against the Miami Marlins. Allen, 24, will be making his major-league debut this weekend after starting the year with a strong 1.26 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings over his first three starts at Triple-A Columbus. The team's No. 8 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, could stick in Cleveland's starting rotation with Triston McKenzie (shoulder), Aaron Civale (oblique) and Cal Quantrill (leg) all injured. Allen doesn't dazzle with stuff or physicality (6-foot, 190 pounds), but he's durable, physical and accurate around the zone. Fantasy managers in need of rotation help should consider adding him.
