Lions Add Jake Funk To Practice Squad
10 months agoThe Detroit Lions signed running back Jake Funk and offensive lineman Matt Farniok to their practice squad on Wednesday and placed running back Jermar Jefferson (undisclosed) on the practice squad Injured Reserve and released linebacker Raymond Johnson from the practice squad in corresponding moves. Funk was a seventh-round selection by the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. He has only four rushing attempts in his three NFL seasons, with two of them coming in four games with the Indianapolis Colts in 2023. Funk was most recently on the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad this season before being cut earlier this month. The 26-year-old will give the Lions extra RB depth with Jefferson unable to play the rest of the postseason.
