Linus Ullmark Records Shutout in Season Debut
6 years agoBuffalo Sabres goaltender Linus Ullmark stopped all 36 shots that he faced on Saturday night on the way to his first career shutout. Ullmark has now won two of his last four starts with a .957 save percentage over that time. The young netminder has certainly flashed talent in his limited usage at the NHL level and his time may be coming soon now that he is the primary backup in Buffalo. Since starting 20 games in 2015-16, Ullmark has not played in more than five games in a season so even with stellar play it is unlikely that he would seize the lion's share of starts this season. He may be useful as a spot start on occasion in the right matchup this season, but Ullmark really only holds value in deeper dynasty leagues.
