2 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Liam Hendriks is scheduled to make four or five minor-league rehab appearances before being activated from the injured list to make his 2023 debut after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in January. Per manager Pedro Grifol, Hendriks will begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte this weekend. The 34-year-old right-hander is cancer-free and is ready to start making his way back to the big leagues. Before his cancer diagnosis, Hendriks was in line to be the team's primary closer. That could still be the plan, but fantasy managers should expect the White Sox to ease him back into that role upon his return this month. Hendriks should remain stashed in all fantasy leagues. Until Hendriks is back, expect Kendall Graveman to continue seeing most of the save chances in Chicago.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
