2 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Liam Hendriks will head out on a minor-league rehab assignment on Wednesday, a week shy of four months since announcing his cancer diagnosis of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. It's great news for Hendriks and the White Sox, but there's still no timetable for when he might make his 2023 debut after being cancer-free. The 34-year-old right-hander should be ready to go in the middle of May, and he should eventually become the team's primary closing option again, although fantasy managers should expect the White Sox to ease him back into a high-leverage role. If Hendriks is available on your waiver wire, scoop him up now. Kendall Graveman should continue to see save chances for Chicago until Hendriks returns to the bullpen.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
