Liam Hendriks Secures 25th Save
3 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks worked a 1-2-3 inning to secure his 25th save on the season against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. Hendriks recorded one strikeout in the outing and he has now recorded 71 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings with a 2.44 ERA. Hendriks remains one of the best closers in the game and should continue to rack up saves on a good White Sox team. Managers should note that Hendriks has pitched three innings in the past three days and he could be rested on Wednesday if the White Sox need a save. If Hendriks gets the day off, Aaron Bummer and Codi Heuer could be candidates to get a save.
