Liam Hendriks Records 31st Save
3 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks recorded a save for the second day in a row versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. Hendriks went 1 2/3 innings to record the final five outs and allowed one hit with two strikeouts. The All-Star has hit some bumps in the road during the second half of the season, but he continues to have a good season overall. The Pale Hose have Thursday off, so it's unclear at the moment if Hendriks will be unavailable on Friday. For the season, Hendriks has 31 saves with a 3.05 ERA. He remains one of the best closers in the league. If Hendriks were to be unavailable on Friday, look for Craig Kimbrel to get the first crack at a save chance.
