Liam Hendriks Earns Second Consecutive Save Tuesday
3 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks notched his second consecutive save and sixth of the season in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Cubs. Hendriks came in to pitch the ninth inning with a two-run lead and shut the door, delivering a 1-2-3 outing with a strikeout. The 33-year-old has been shakier than fantasy managers had bargained for but has still converted six of seven save opportunities with a 4.35 ERA, 16 strikeouts, and three walks in 10 1/3 innings pitched. Hendriks was drafted as one of fantasy's top closers this season, and there is no reason for fantasy managers to think he'll be anything otherwise at this point.
