1 year agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Liam Hendriks chose a great time to pick up his first win of the season, as today was National Cancer Survivors Day. He threw a perfect ninth inning with two punchouts to help the ChiSox pick up a 6-2 win over the Detroit Tigers. It appears the White Sox are ready to let Hendriks see high-leverage situations, meaning he likely isn't far out from taking over the closer role that he has held for multiple years prior to this one.
