Lewis Brinson Off to Hot Start in Spring Training; Looks to Back Bounce From Awful 2018
6 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson had a season to forget in 2018, though he's hoping his hot Spring Training start will carry over into the regular season. Brinson, who was acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers in the Christian Yelich deal last year, hit a lowly .199 with 11 home runs and 42 RBI in his first full season as a starter with the Marlins. Brinson is tearing the cover off the ball in the early goings of Spring Training this year. In just 14 at bats, the former first-round pick is batting .357 with three homers and three RBI. While Spring Training is still in its infancy, Brinson has to be encouraged by how he's hitting the ball thus far.
