Lewis Brinson Misses His Second Straight Game
3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson (thumb) was held out for the second straight game on Saturday as the team faced the Cincinnati Reds. Brinson suffered a left thumb sprain in Thursday's game against the Washington Nationals. He is being considered day-to-day for now. Jorge Alfaro, Bryan De La Cruz and Jesus Sanchez have filled out the Marlins' outfield in each of the past two games with Brinson sidelined. Over 61 games on the year, Brinson has slashed .239/.280/.426 with seven home runs, 25 RBI and 19 runs.
