Lewis Brinson Injures Thumb After Collision
3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson (thumb) exited Thursday's game against the Washington Nationals with a left thumb sprain. He collided with Bryan De La Cruz in the outfield and left the game shortly after. The 27-year-old went 0-for-2 with a run scored and a strikeout before exiting. Brinson's x-rays on his thumb came back negative and he's considered day-to-to-day. Magneuris Sierra replaced him in the game and would see an uptick in playing time if Brinson were to miss any games. Sierra is slashing .247/.294/.291 with seven stolen bases over 99 games in 2021. Fantasy managers in search for speed can use Sierra as a streamer until Brinson returns.
