Le'Veon Bell Will Not Attend OTAs
7 years agoAccording to a source, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell will not attend organized team activities, which begin on Tuesday. Bell has been angling for a long-term contract from the Steelers for several years and didn't report to Pittsburgh until September in 2017 after sitting out all of training camp last season. The team placed the franchise tag on Bell for the second straight offseason, which will pay him $14.5 million to tote the ball for the Steelers in 2018. Bell originally threatened to retire or sit out regular season games if the team didn't give him a long-term extension but he has since softened that stance. Look for Bell's offseason and preseason to closely resemble the route he took in 2017 if the two parties don't reach a long-term agreement by July 15, the deadline.
