LeSean McCoy Should See Increased Usage This Week
6 years agoBuffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is looking to improve from his subpar performance last week when the team takes on the Jets this Sunday. McCoy only played in 41 percent of the Bills snaps last week, which was a low for him while healthy. He lost a good chunk of carries to Chris Ivory and the fact that the Bills were down by 28 at halftime didn't help. As for Chris Ivory he was limited during Thursday’s practice, and his status should be monitored closely as it will have a direct impact on McCoy’s carries. This shouldn’t be a game where the Bills are down big by halftime and McCoy could benefit from it. Another thing to watch closely will be the quarterback situation. If Nathan Peterman is forced to start again, then McCoy should see a huge bump, as coach Sean McDermott probably doesn’t want to see the team rely on him throwing 49 times again. Consider McCoy a weak flex play at best in deep leagues, and could be a sneaky tournament play in DFS.
