Leonard Fournette Has 16 Touches Returning From Injury
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette carried the ball 10 times for 49 yards, adding six receptions for 32 yards in Monday's 17-16 win over the New Orleans Saints. The 27-year-old suffered a hip injury in their win over the Seahawks before the bye week, which kept him out against the Browns last week. However, he returned to the field this week, making an immediate impact. Rachaad White opened the game as the starter, but the veteran finished with one more touch (carries + receptions) than the rookie with 16. He also totaled more yards, finishing with 81. It appears these two will be sharing the backfield moving forward, placing both of them in the top 30 most weeks because of their receiving roles and goal-line opportunities.
