Leonard Fournette Finds The End Zone In Blowout Victory
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette carried the ball nine times for 34 rushing yards and a touchdown in a 47-7 win over the Lions. Fournette added three receptions for 32 receiving yards, as he found the end zone for the third time in the past two contests. His 3.8 yards per carry were a bit disappointing, considering how poor the Lions have been against the run this season. Still, Tampa Bay built up such a large lead that Fournette's services weren't needed in the second half. While looking a bit unimpressive carrying the football, the former Jaguar has nonetheless seen double-digit touches in both stints as the starter with Ronald Jones (COVID, finger) sidelined. He'll take on a Falcons Defense next week that has been middling against halfbacks this year.
