Leonard Fournette Fills In Admirably With 132 Yards, Touchdown
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette was pushed into the starter's role during Saturday night's 31-23 playoff win over Washington after teammate Ronald Jones II (quad) suffered a pre-game injury. Fournette earned a season-high 23 touches in Jones' absence- and looked like the player who posted two 1000-yard seasons in Jacksonville. This backfield has gone either way this season, though head coach Bruce Arians thought this was Fournette's best game of the season, which should count for something if and when Jones returns. If Jones can't go, it'll be Fournette as the lead back against either New Orleans or Los Angeles next week.
