Leon Edwards Finishes With No-Contest Saturday
4 years agoIn what proved to be a disappointing main-event showing for Leon Edwards on Saturday, he did produce well in the full round of action before a no-contest was ruled just seconds into the second round. Eighteen seconds into the second round, Edwards poked Belal Muhammad in the eye, resulting in a stoppage due to injury. In 5:18 of total action, Edwards collected 19 significant strikes (20 total strikes), including a left head kick in the first round that had Muhammad wobbling. The silver lining in all this is that Edwards was able to finally step into the Octagon and actually looked pretty good.
