Leon Edwards Defends Title With Ease At UFC 296
11 months agoLeon Edwards defended his welterweight title for the second time with a lopsided decision win over Colby Covington in the main event of UFC 296. Edwards put Covington on his back foot for the majority of the fight, as the champ was able to control the pace. Edwards outstruck Covington 57-to-44 in significant strikes and also went 2-for-3 on his takedowns while stuffing eight of Covington's 10 takedown attempts. With the win, Edwards improved to 22-3 and one No Contest and is now on a 13-fight unbeaten streak.
