Leon Draisaitl Shows His Power-Play Prowess
4 years agoEdmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl scored a pair of power-play goals, mounting a comeback for Edmonton that eventually fell short Thursday night against the Maple Leafs. Draisaitl is now on a five-game goal streak and has two points in each of his last three games. With 13 points in nine games, Draisaitl is tied for the second-most points in the league and tied for fifth in points per game (1.44 points per game) among skaters that have played in at least five games. After finishing last season at the top of the league in both of those categories, it is no surprise to see him in the top five already this season. Another trend carrying over to this year is a high percentage of Draisaitl's points coming on the power play, with 46 percent of his points this season coming with the man advantage compared to 40 percent last year.
