Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl has begun talks on a new contract with the team. He is entering the final season of an eight-year, $68-million deal. Oilers general manager Stan Bowman noted earlier in the week that he's had "good conversations" with Draisaitl's agent Mike Liut and there is nothing "negative" to report. Following five 100-point campaigns in six years, the Oilers definitely won't get Draisaitl's signature on the cheap. The German superstar boasts 347 goals and 850 points in 719 career games and has always been extremely productive during the postseason, which further increases his value.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
