Leody Taveras Scratched Sunday With Side Tightness
2 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Leody Taveras (side) was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Los Angeles Angels due to left-side tightness. It doesn't seem to be a serious issue, and he should return to the lineup over the next few days. Taveras is entering his third year in the pros and is slotted to be the starting center fielder for the Rangers in 2023. He slashed .261/.309/.366 with a .675 OPS across 341 plate appearances. The 24-year-old filed quite an impressive first half after stashing a .920 OPS with a .393 wOBA. Taveras continues to impress the Texas front office and is certainly a perennial talent to invest in. The Dominican is a good option in deep-format leagues for fantasy managers searching for speed.
