Lenyn Sosa To Be Called Up By White Sox
2 years agoChicago White Sox infield prospect Lenyn Sosa will be joining the team in Chicago on Thursday. The 22-year-old has spent the entirety of the 2022 season at Double-A and will be skipping Triple-A on his route to the majors. He has slashed .331/.384/.549 with 14 home runs, 48 RBI and 47 runs over 62 games at Double-A this year. Second baseman Danny Mendick (knee) suffered a knee injury on Wednesday and the team is currently awaiting the results of the MRI he received. The news that Sosa is being called up suggests that Mendick is likely bound for the injured list. Sosa is rated as the team's No. 22 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline.
