LeBron James Reaches Big Milestone With 29 Points
5 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James scored 29 points in Saturday's loss to Philadelphia, passing Kobe Bryant for third place on the NBA's all-time scoring list. LeBron now sits on 33,655 points and he has his sights next on Karl Malone, who finished his career with 36,928 points. Leaving aside the big milestone, James had a pretty awful evening, committing eight turnovers and shooting just 1-for-6 from downtown on his way to finishing with a team-worst minus-22 rating. His line also included eight assists and seven rebounds with 9-for-18 overall shooting from the field. The Lakers are now set for another battle with the Clippers in a matchup that hasn't been very good for LeBron this season. He's shot only 37.2 percent from the field and a shocking 17.6 percent from downtown in two previous meetings against them.
