3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (abdomen) is available for Friday's matchup against the Celtics. The King missed his previous eight games while dealing with an abdomen strain. Nonetheless, while it's good for fantasy managers to see him back, it's uncertain if he will face a minutes cap after having not played since the beginning of the month. Still, James should be starting in all season-long formats, although his DFS rostering cost may not be reasonable given the circumstances.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

1 week agoAccording to ESPN's Shams Charania, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (groin) is "expected to miss at least 1-to-2 weeks." The 40-year-old had a massive 22 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists in Saturday's 10-point loss to the Boston Celtics. However, he suffered a strained groin late in the contest. James will undergo another evaluation within the next 24 hours after letting the injury "calm down." Still, with the Lakers gearing up for a deep postseason push, it's certainly possible he could miss more time beyond the two-week estimation. The Lakers won eight-straight games entering Saturday night and currently sit at the third spot in the Western Conference. But Los Angeles has a tougher schedule for the remainder of the regular season, so it will be all hands on deck while James is away. With Rui Hachimura (knee) battling a knee injury, Dalton Knecht and Dorian Finney-Smith could be looking at more minutes (and starts) moving forward, with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves the favorites to carry the load offensively.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

1 week agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James left Saturday night's game against the Boston Celtics early with a left groin strain. James exited nearly halfway through the fourth quarter after posting up 22 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists in the 111-101 loss. As of now the team has yet to give an update on James' condition, but he should be considered day-to-day until further notice. If James is forced to miss time then expect more usage out of Luka Doncic in the starting lineup. Dorian Finney-Smith and Gabe Vincent have the potential to slide into the starting lineup as well if James cannot suit up for Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller

1 week agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) will play on Saturday against Boston. The foot injury is nothing new, and he was listed as probable, so most fantasy managers already planned on having him in the lineup. The Lakers have won their last eight games, most recently beating the Knicks in overtime on Thursday night. While the Celtics defense should prove to be more of a challenge, James remains a top DFS option. Of course, the multi-time All-Star is also a must-start in all fantasy formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

1 week agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (left foot, injury management) is probable for Saturday's showdown with the Celtics. The 40-year-old is back on the injury report because of his ailing left foot. However, he hasn't missed a game since the February 8 loss to the Indiana Pacers, so that trend will likely continue on Saturday evening. James was quieter on the offensive end in his only meeting with the C's this season, scoring 20 points while shooting 9-for-20 from the field. Yet, he made up for it by pulling down 14 rebounds. If James suffers an improbable setback and isn''t available, Luka Doncic (knee), who is expected to play, and Austin Reaves should do most of the heavy lifting on the scoring end versus one of the top teams in the National Basketball Association.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
