Laurie Canter Looks To Make The Weekend At The Open
1 year agoEnglishman Laurie Canter made the cut at St. Andrews last year, but a 79th-place finish says all we need to know about his potential to cause a stir atop the leaderboard (or lack thereof). This season Canter has bounced around the middle portion of LIV Golf tournaments, placing in the top-20 just three times in nine appearances. While the 33-year-old made a splash with a T37 finish at The Open back in 2017, there haven't been many signs of late that suggest Canter is ready to get back in the top-40 in 2023, let alone make the weekend. Despite his bargain bin price tag of $6,100 on DraftKings, there have to be better upside places to turn if fantasy managers are looking to save salary for a high-priced play in the top-half of lineups.
