Lauri Markkanen Could Be Cleared For Contact Soon
Lauri Markkanen (right elbow) is continuing to make progress in his rehab, according to coach Fred Hoiberg, and could be cleared for contact next week. The 21-year-old, who started to participate in practice a few days ago, is expected to make his debut sometime in December. This is great news for a struggling Bulls team that is currently without Bobby Portis, who also could return in December, as well. Jabari Parker is expected to take a big hit when the two players return to action.

Lauri Markkanen Will Not Play Against Grizzlies
Lauri Markkanen (illness) will miss additional time and has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The 2023 All-Star will sit out a fourth consecutive game. It's the second straight game he will miss due to an illness. Utah has no interest in winning and will continue to give opportunities to younger players for the remainder of the season. Markkanen's absence opens the door for Kyle Filipowski, Brice Sensabaugh, and Kenyon Martin Jr. to take on larger roles in the rotation. Filipowski stands out as the best fantasy option, as he has joined the starting unit, where he averages 13.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
